Our Mission
Founded in 2002, the Union Forge Heritage Association created Solitude House Museum and managed the museum until 2012 in High Bridge, NJ. Striving to preserve and protect Hunterdon's history and natural environment on a much larger scale, the 1760 Jos Turner House was founded in Union Twp in 2014. Below, a founding board member William Honachefsky Jr leads a tour of one of the early forges.
